Music "And then it's swiss Bleak Origin's turn. It's interesting how they define themselves as "prog-rock" - since their sound essence is made of many other elements, such as some hard doom-epic moments that recall Candlemass (vocal-guitarist Patrick Haberli reminds Messiah, in vocal approach as well as in his appearance!), and others of acoustic melachony close to mid-period Anathema. The band offers a short but pretty interesting set, altough their music is not easy-listening and not easy to catch in its entirity at the first listening. The songs are long and rich of detail, alternate measured moments with compact riffing, to some much more sensitive parts in which one can notice the band's acoustic essence. The guys need just some more on-stage confidence - they are still pretty much rigid performers - but the quality of their musical talent and the quality of the proposal is unquestionable."
